The Social Services and Education Committee's responsibilities include:

• Set the budget for each funding cycle for:

1. Utilities
2. Veterans assistance
3. Burial assistance
4. Infant savings bonds
5. School clothing/supplies
6. Personnel, fringe, travel/training, office supplies & misc expenses
7. Higher education grant/scholarship guidelines and budget
8. BSS loan monies are properly issued and repaid

• Set guidelines for all the above services
• Review appeals and make rulings based on data that is have on file
