Department Responsibilities
The mission of the Fire/EMS Department is to provide the best quality service possible and ensure the health and safety of tribal members and the community at-large. The Quapaw Tribe maintains three fully equipped stations located at:
- Miami OK
- Wyandotte OK
- Downstream Casino Resort

Live Burn Simulator Fire Training
The Quapaw Tribal Fire Department Chief Jeff Reeves (left) and Assistant Chief Leon Crow (right) with the new mobile $117,000 Live Burn Simulator Fire Training Facility from Homeland Security funded through a firefighters assistance grant. The simulator gives the department the ability to train for live fire fighting, ventilation, search and rescue and forcible entry, as well as standpipe and sprinkler training. The department has received an ISO rating of 2 earned partially through improved documentation of staff training.

2012 EMS Graduation
On March 24, 2012 trainees graduated from the EMS program of the Quapaw Tribal Fire/EMS department. Trainees worked for six months to achieve their certification.
